Office of the President

Hello Parents, Members & Educators,

Once upon a time in ancient Egypt, on festive occasions, children would decorate their bodies using earth pigments to create fanciful patterns.  They begin learning the art of body painting at an early age by imitating their parents.  Their imaginations would run wild as they turned their own bodies into works of “Art”.  This artistic expression is still practiced today in Africa, to celebrate festive occasions and ceremonies.

Welcome! To Chocolate State UniversityTM, Where, A Love of Learning Is A Way of Life.”  Before I continue, please read the CSU Mission Statement:

Mission Statement:

  • Provide an environment to help kids develop a love of learning through the Arts and to develop a love of reading;
  • Promote fitness and healthy lifestyles for kids; and
  • Promote the importance of “Character Building” through volunteerism and community service.

Children who love to learn, learn; and what better way to help our children develop a love of learning than through the Arts.  The Arts in education is critical to our children’s success.  The Arts have far-reaching potential to help our children achieve their educational goals through reading, writing, science, and math.  Also, the Arts are effective in keeping our children in school, reaching our children at-risk and children with distinctive learning styles.  Through the Arts, our children can develop an understanding and appreciation of not only our culture but cultures of the world.

The Chocolate Professors are "Art Scholars" and they love traveling the globe helping children develop a love of learning through the Arts.  You will love the beautiful buildings on the CSU Avenues of Learning, where each Avenue includes an art word search and art links, and the CSU Student Union has interesting art games.  The CSU Character Tree is a great tool for introducing character building.  You will love the beautiful CSU Sportswear, Sleepwear and Accessories in the CSU Bookstore, where members receive a 10% discount.

Take a moment to encourage your child to participate in the CSU Book Reviews and Contests that includes Art, Creative Writing & Poetry and Favorite Recipes.  Remember, only members can participate in the CSU contests; Book Reviews are open to everyone.  The contests and book reviews are designed to help children express their creativity through the arts, and to use vocabulary development to improve their reading and writing skills.

Chocolate State University is not just a website, it is “An Art Experience”.   Please share the site with friends and family and use it as a tool to help your child develop “A Love of Learning through the Arts!”  Enroll yourself and your child today, or enroll the entire family.  After all, the CSU Membership Club is for everyone “Who love to learn and who love the Arts!”
